Selection Process
In selecting members of the Subject Matter Advisory Panels, the Executive Director
of the CTC will consider the following desirable qualifications, at least
one of which nominees should possess:
- active involvement in efforts to improve curriculum, instruction, and/or educator
preparation in the subject area
- leadership experience in the subject area at the statewide level or in a county
office of education, school district, or school
- experience in providing professional development to current or prospective educators
in the subject area
- experience in teaching students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
- experience in the development, administration, or scoring of constructed-response
test items
- experience as a mentor or supervisor for educator candidates
- ability to work cooperatively and productively with other professionals
- willingness to commit time to the assigned tasks
